KB Theory are a Brisbane based four-piece indie pop band with young talent and a big sound. Taking their cue from the electronic samples of ‘The 1975’, the catchy melodies of ‘The Strokes’ and the indie rock of ‘Last Dinosaurs’, they love experimenting with their music and have a unique blend of catchy pop-rock with indie vibes. Infectious melodies and fun lyrics complete the package, leaving you with songs that are hard to get out of your head.
A very sweet line-up consists of Dylan Cattanach (Songwriter, lead vocalist & rhythm guitar), Campbell Harris (bass), Harry Verity (Lead guitar) and Andrew Barnes (Drums).
Since the release of their debut single ‘Lights of Tokyo’ in February, the band have been playing on as many stages as possible. It's this tenacity for raucously energetic live performances that landed the band a show for Rare Finds playing alongside Sunshine Coast's High Tropics on the 13th of July, which gave fans a taste of what's to come from their newly announced launch shows. Their appearances at Teneriffe Festival & Morningside Festival have cemented their appeal.
With the release of ‘Hope’ on 6th July, KB Theory have a tour planned for November as well as a planned festival appearance at Redfest and Going Underground at Bigsound.
"We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, debut singles only come once and when bands nail it, it’s so, so amazing to hear. One more example of this is Brisbane’s KB Theory. Their debut single, Lights Of Tokyo is a brilliant first outing from a band that has their head firmly screwed on and their minds set for the future."
Jake Wilton - AAA Backstage
"KB Theory finally dropped their debut single ‘Lights of Tokyo’ as of yesterday and they have done themselves justice. I gotta put my hands together for this debut."
