After wandering the earth for over a decade, she stopped for a while in the town of Mackay.
Music was abundant there and amongst a killer jam session she found him full of soul. In 2012 a local publican encouraged them to join forces and booked them gigs naming them The Weapon Heads.

People expected heavy metal and without enough scream metal songs up their sleeves, they became Gypsy soul (3rd best band in the world according to some random drunk guy). They added bass, drums and harmonica and became the Gypsy Soldiers.

Patrick Gill shreds on guitar with melodic riffs and a sexy deep vocal that he will start way down in his boots and end up with a falsetto to die for.
Natasha Hardiman sings with attitude and all her heart and soul and adds a rhythmic layer on guitar.
James Neill lays down the beats with his flamboyant style and adds harmonic vocals.
Allan Doherty chugs on harmonica with effects to enhance every layer.
Jason Johns fat bass lines make the bass sing that you can’t help but start to dance.

With a mixture of many different influences they have a soulful, bluesy, funk rock sound, crossing many different genres.
They love to play covers in their own unique way and have many originals written from a collaboration of life experiences and nonsense.

The Gypsy Soldiers have just recorded an EP of their original music, which they look forward to sharing with the world.
They have supported Ross Wilson and the Black Sorrows...and will also be playing Winton outback festival, Bikes, bulls and buggies, Mackay beach horse races and the Airlie Beach music festival this year.
