Passport to Airlie kicks off this year at The Stag & Hunter with artists battling it out for their spot at The Airlie Beach Festival of Music in November...along with some great prizes!

Semi-Final: 2 September, 2018
FINAL: Sunday 9 September, 2018
2 winners from each Heat will go straight into the Semi-Final.
A Wild Card entry will be chosen once all 3 Heats have been held, with the Wild Card act making their way to the Semi-Final.
There will be 7 acts performing in the Semi-Final, 4 of which will progress to the Grand Final with the winner to represent Newcastle at the National Passport to Airlie Grand Final at the Airlie Beach Festival of Music in November 2018.

SMOKE & RAIN
is a Newcastle based rock band with a pinch of many flavours
Cormac Grant from Grafton, Healey Olsen from Newcastle and Manuel Rohrl from Bellingen joined forces in mid 2017 while attending the Newcastle Conservatorium.
With varying musical backgrounds, each member has brought their tastes to a familiar ground which aims to create a fun, musically puzzling yet accessible sound.
Rock N Roll band from Wollongong's northern suburbs with a fresh new flavour of Rock N Roll that's hard not to have a good time to. By the use of unique original melodies and riffs we plan to be the next big band.
is a singer/songwriter and guitarist based in Newcastle. She is 24 years of age who has grown up singing and playing guitar since she was 10. Suzie has studied at the Conservatorium of Music in Newcastle for one year after completing her HSC in music and getting accepted into University. Suzie then transferred to JMC music academy where she finished her degree of Music in 2016. Suzie now works at the National Music Academy in Newcastle teaching singing.
Suzie plays guitar and sings at her gigs. Suzie mainly plays covers but sometimes adds her originals into the set. Suzie plays mostly pop and some rock covers.
