"...something decidedly fresh...definitely one Newcastle artist worth checking out!" - The Post TE Aug 2011

Allon is an independent Australian musician and singer who exudes an energy and vitality that are impossible to ignore; with a voice that makes people stop and listen.

Born in Jerusalem, raised in Cape Town (SA), Melbourne and Sydney (AU), Allon resides in the beautiful town of Newcastle on Australia's East Coast.

Allon calls himself a 'renaissance man' as he sees his life's journey as one of enlightenment through art, science and philosophy.

As a soloist guitarist/singer/songwriter, his work is beginning to be recognised as something enticing and different in a musical landscape that is filled with an abundance of indistinguishable roots/folk artists.

His is a refreshing new take on songwriting that draws from a strong sense of life and having lived it; a pathos that is reflected in Allon's earnest and heartfelt lyrics.

With songwriting that is being compared to Cat Stevens and a young Leonard Cohen; and voice that resonates with the tones of Joe cocker and Billy Joel; it is no wonder that his simply titled debut album, 'small steps' is anything but!

Allon has also toured Australia alongside rock legends Grant Walmsley (SCREAMING JETS) and Rob Grosser (JON LORD, DEEP PURPLE) in The Agents Of Peace as one the finest upright bass players and vocalists, and has made a name for himself in Newcastle and the Hunter as a musician over the last 16 years.
