Once in a while a musician comes along whose passionate songwriting paints pictures & touches emotions from the listener’s own life experiences; whose heartbreakingly haunting voice induces goosebumps……. blues/folk singer songwriter Casey Marie is considered one of those musicians.
Growing up in the mining town of Moranbah in Central Queensland, this 19 year old gains inspiration from the likes of Sarah Blasko, Benny Walker and Angus & Julia Stone. Through her music & songwriting, Casey Marie has been an advocate for creating more awareness of social issues such as Domestic Violence, Anxiety Disorders & Depression. The launch of her debut EP “When A Man Brings You Down” in 2014 saw her music receiving regular airtime on radio stations throughout Australia. Kicking off 2016 with the launch of her new EP “Demons”, has piqued the interest from radio stations & music producers from overseas, setting the future bright for one of Australia’s rising young stars.
The uniqueness of her voice and songwriting, which demonstrates a maturity beyond her years, has earned Casey Marie the opportunity to perform at multiple festivals around Queensland, and share the stage with such artists as Wendy Matthews, the Choir Boys, Shannon Noll, Busby Marou, The Hillbilly Goats, Darren Middleton, Sahara Beck, Shaun Kirk, Pete Murray, James Reyne & The Angels with Dave Gleeson.
“The best part for me is the ‘Imagery’ it exudes. The lyrics paint pictures, and that makes the song powerful” – Denny Burgess (Masters Apprentices, Australian Songwriter’s Association)
