Tim Rossington: Instore Appearance/Charity Show for “Run Newcastle”- 26/11/2014

Posted 27 November 2014 by Adz Carter

Having come off the back of a very successful string of dates at Airlie Beach, Newcastle musician Tim Rossington has been showing no signs of slowing down since returning to his hometown. His debut EP has been recorded, and has been sent off for mastering at the one and only Abbey Road Studios in London. Now, on the eve of a trip to America, Tim has been keeping the momentum up with more dates in Newcastle and the surrounds. Yesterday, many Christmas shoppers were treated to a rare lunchtime appearance (the first of a five day run of gigs) by Tim, when he played at the Cotton On Megastore in Westfield Kotara. Cotton On are one of the major sponsors behind “Run Newcastle”, and Tim’s performance was part of his association with the charity.

The Strange Stigma Of The Stones, Part Two: Beast(s) Of Burden.

Posted 18 November 2014

In the wake of the Rolling Stones taking Hope Estate Winery by storm in a crossfire hurricane on the weekend, fans and critics are still abuzz about the concert. Rave reviews have been talking up this appearance of Ronnie, Charlie, Keith, and of course Mick, ever since. However, the reviews have been notably quiet about the appearance of anotherMick. Day 2 'Review' - Airlie Beach Music Festival 2014

Posted 9 November 2014 by Adz Carter

Well, as the saying goes “So much see, so little time”, and that was the motto that kept coming back to me yesterday as I did the rounds all around Airlie Beach on Day Two of the Airlie Beach Music Festival. Anytime I go to a music festival, I’m familiar with the vast majority of who’s appearing, so I know in advance who I’ll be going to check out. This time around though, for the most part, through the day it’s not so much a “Who’s who” of musos, but more like a “Who’s that?”
