Day 2 'Review' - Airlie Beach Music Festival 2014

Posted 9 November 2014 by Adz Carter

Well, as the saying goes “So much see, so little time”, and that was the motto that kept coming back to me yesterday as I did the rounds all around Airlie Beach on Day Two of the Airlie Beach Music Festival. Anytime I go to a music festival, I’m familiar with the vast majority of who’s appearing, so I know in advance who I’ll be going to check out. This time around though, for the most part, through the day it’s not so much a “Who’s who” of musos, but more like a “Who’s that?”

In the Whitsundays

Posted 6 November 2014 by Adz Carter

Hi all,

Greetings from Airlie Beach! :)
Myself and my fellow travellers flew into Hamilton Island on Monday and we were instantly greeted with lovely warm weather.
On the bus ride to our rooms I took in the lush tropical scenery and given such sites it felt like I'd walked onto the set of a James Bond movie or one of David Lee Roth's video clips.
hi
On Tuesday, we spent Melbourne Cup at the island's Tavern/Pub mingling with the friendly locals and other tourists, then caught a ferry over to the "mainland" yesterday, settled into our accommodation before watching up and coming singer-songwriter Tim Rossington perform at the Beaches last night.
All in all, a great week thus far, but things are only just getting started, as this afternoon we'll be treated to a muso's jam on the beach, featuring a selection of artists that will be performing during the Airlie Beach Music Festival this weekend.

Time for me to go out and get amongst it, as everyone seems to be very pumped for the festival, and all these good vibes won't just capture themselves.
Oh, and for those that couldn't make it, never fear, because Adz is here, and I will be filling you all in on everything that takes place over the next three fun filled festival days, and, as some of you already know, my reviews are always the next best thing to being there ;)
- Adz
