SAMI is an Australian singer/songwriter/entertainer from Young NSW, who is actively making a permanent name for herself in the music industry, for her hard work and ambition. She captivates her audience with her approachable personality and natural stage presence. Her vocal ability is beyond her years and her song writing has been well recognised within the industry, winning many prestigious awards.
With the release of her award winning, debut album 'SAMI-Every Passing Minute', SAMI had performed over one hundred shows across Australia yearly in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, SAMI has followed her own footsteps performing over one hundred shows in Australia but also has furthered her career by taking her tours to New Zealand and Canada for her own solo tours. Starting the year with a promotional tour of New Zealand in February, then continuing the international experience with a 6 week Canadian Tour in July.
On the 6th July, SAMI released a brand new single, written and recorded with Sydney musician; Steve Deal, called 'I Just Want to Love You'. Dean Kinlyside from Neon Media Group in Young did the film clip to be released before SAMI's Canadian tour. This song was a success hitting number 5 on the world wide iTunes Country Charts- sitting just below Australian sensation Keith Urban.
Each new year brings the famous Tamworth Country Music Festival, where SAMI not only performs between 20-30 shows in the 12 days, but also holds her own radio show and reports the golden guitar awards for the Young Witness newspaper. Studying Professional Writing and Editing, SAMI adds onto her full time music career with her journalistic approach, writing about her touring life to many magazines and newspapers.
Through the help of her Australian tours, SAMI has gained an exceptional amount of experience with audiences, being completely booked each year with 2–3 Shows per week through the guidance of Samittar Management and Promotions.
'SAMI-Every Passing Minute' consists of 13 original tracks and 1 cover, which has taken out numerous song writing awards leading SAMI to Sydney twice to be awarded 10th out of Australia for her anti bullying song '“Still Searching' c”and 20th out of Australia for her songs “'One Thing Left' and “'You're Inspirational'. While in Canberra 'I Grew Up Country' won 1st for Best Country Rock, 'One Thing Left' won 1st for Under 18yrs Songwriters Award and 'She Never Looked Back' took out 1st place for Contemporary. Tamworth has also been very kind with SAMI being awarded Junior Overall Winner in CCMA against 45 others, Senior Overall in Mt Franklin Quest and won numerous firsts for her songs during this time in CCMA and Manilla.
